A couple of times per year, when my wife and I have a long car trip coming up, I make sure ahead of time to download tons of podcasts to pass the time during our drive. One of these is The Clark Howard Podcast.
The theme of the podcast is to use your money wisely and not to get ripped off. Thus, the subject matter will be of interest to many in the community of plain text accounting users.
I will caution that the show is U.S. based, so there are aspects of the show that would be unlikely to apply to overseas listeners. However, there is also content that would be useful no matter where you live.
Right now, we are on one of our road trips. During one of the episodes we have listened to, I found something to follow up on concerning online security, just to give an example of how the podcast is useful.
In short, we find Clark Howard to be a good way to occupy our time while driving as well as getting valuable personal finance advice.
