Here are some holiday gift ideas for people who use hledger. Which means, of course, that these can be gifts that you give yourself!
My criteria to be included on my list is that it has to be appropriate for an hledger user. It doesn’t necessarily have to be hledger specific, but it’s something an hledger user could benefit from. Oh, and the cost has to be zero.
The first on my list is the book The Richest Man in Babylon. In the U.S., at least, this book is in the public domain, so you should be able to find a free copy. The stories in the book are well crafted and motivating. Sometimes you need some motivation, and here’s one place where you can find that motivation.
The second is the hledger documentation. This is a gift I should give myself more! There is just a lot of valuable information there, always something new to learn.
And the last is the habit of tracking your finances. It doesn’t cost a dime to do so, but the payback is all kinds of insights into what is happening with your money.
Those are my zero cost ideas for gifts for an hledger user. Perhaps there is one of the above you can give yourself this holiday season….
