Full title: The Best of Jonathan Clements: Timeless Advice for a Financial Life Well Lived.
If you were a regular reader of the Wall Street Journal’s Getting Going column by Jonathan Clements, you probably don’t need this book. On the other hand, if you missed the column, or just want a good reminder, this book may be right for you.
From the thousand plus pieces he published in the Wall Street Journal, the author has picked his 62 best. I recently finished this book and can attest that there is a lot of wisdom in his writing. No, they are not deep, philosophical pieces. However, they are useful. And they are to the point. And the point is, as the title says, advice for a financial life well lived.
If you want a flavor of what the book is about, you can listen to a recent interview with him (or just read the transcript) at https://boglecenter.net/bogleheads-on-investing-clements-getting-going-on-savings-episode-82/
If you think that there is room in your life for improvement in living well financially, then this book is worth a look.
