In the book 31 Days to Emergency Preparedness, one chapter discusses emergency preparedness on a budget. How does preparedness on a budget relate to hledger?
As a starting point, tools such as hledger can help you plan how much you are going to spend on a given category. If you have little available to spend, then you will likely want to use many of the ideas in the book for preparedness that can be done inexpensively.
Related to the above is that as you track your spending in this category, note that the amount that you spend is not necessarily going to show how prepared you are. Simply put, more spending doesn’t always equal a greater benefit.
